I love to eat at On The Border® Restaurants. Are your products the same?

There are some minor differences between the On The Border® Chips and Salsa that is packaged for sale; and the chips and salsa made at the restaurants. On The Border® Restaurants make their chips and salsa fresh daily. However, the On The Border® Chips and Salsa purchased from your local store must be shelf stable. Therefore, some customers may notice a slight difference.  All of the recipes made by On The Border® Products are tasted and approved by Brinker International, the parent company of On The Border® Restaurants.

Can On The Border® Bucket Mix be used in a Margarita Machine?

Yes, On The Border® Bucket Drink mixes are safe to use in drink machines. Simply follow the desired recipe as a guideline for mix to alcohol ratio. Then, add ¼ bucket of water per bucket of mix.

I just found a bucket of margarita mix that I have had for a while and have not opened, how do I know if it is still good? Do I need to keep the mix refrigerated?

You can locate the expiration date on the bottom of the bucket. We only guarantee the freshness and quality of the product until the 'best by' date. However, we have experienced customers using the product without complaint for up to 2 years following the expiration date.  If you do not see problems (inside the bag or bottle containing the mix) with discoloration, or with solidity of objects floating, or a film created over the top layer of the mix, the contents may still be good. And as far as keeping the product in the refrigerator or for prolonged periods, we have experienced storing buckets/bottles for up to 9 months to 1 year with no problems after being opened. The mix does in fact need to be refrigerated after you open the mix.  If the mix is unopened, it is okay to leave at room temperature.  However, an opened bottle of mix, air along with temperature, will act on the product to cause spoilage once it is opened.

Does the plastic in the On The Border® Drink Mix Buckets contain BPA?

No, the manufacturer of the plastic On The Border® Buckets does not produce any product containing BPA.
