We at Truco proudly support our troops and the sacrifices they have made for our country. Our company was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to assist a National Guard, Air-Ambulance Medevac company, currently stationed in Iraq.
Troops, most from Colorado and Nebraska, of the Charlie Company 2-135th GSAB (General Support Aviation Battalion) are currently running a coffee/cold drink shop during their deployment, supporting customers, Army, Air Force, Civilian contractors and some Navy personal. We sent supplies, drink mixes and other On The Border® goodies for their café in hopes of giving them a sense of the home they are so far away from.
The troops of the Medevac are there 24/7, risking their lives in the effort to help save others. They do what they can to make sure everyone they can help make it home alive and well.
Dear Truco Enterprises,
We received the On The Border drink mixes, chips, salsa and queso, they are great. I don't think they'll last more then a day or two, thank you so much. You don't know how much gestures such as these mean to all of us here. Your donations have made being here that much easier for a number of us. I am sending a few pictures from our coffee shop with the Buckets in the foreground. Thank you so much once again for the time and donations. I'll be taking my friends and family to your On The Border Restaurant in Denver when I go home in March for my 15 day mid-tour break. Thank you so much for all you have done for us. We all appreciate what you've done. It means the world to us. I'm shipping an American flag to you that was flown on one of our Blackhawk helicopters during one of our 24 hour mission rotations. It comes with a certificate with the Name of the recipients on it (Truco President, Dave Silver and Truco CEO, Roy Truitt) as well as the date it was flown. I had the privilege of being one of the pilots to fly during that MEDEVAC combat mission. And as on most of our missions, we had the honor, pride and privilege in helping sustain life. Contributions such as the ones you've provided, have helped maintian our sanity with a small touch of home, and for that we thank you. I've added a thank you page on our website to let all our friends and family see who stands in support of us. Thank you from all of us.
